Lisa was given the opportunity to visit Prof Liotta’s laboratory from the 18th to the 22nd of November 2013 in order to gain experience in laser capture microdissection protocols and explore downstream proteomic analysis such as reverse-phase protein microarray. Professor Liotta (PhD, MD) is a Pathologist and the Founder and Co-Director of the George Mason University Center for Applied Proteomics and Molecular Medicine. In 1996, Dr. Liotta and colleagues published an article in Science that described the process of laser capture microdissection.
